Lasallian Heritage Days 2024
April 17 – April 28, 2024
We are excited to share with you our calendar of events for this year’s Lasallian Heritage Days: “Spirit of Community”&Բ;
This year’s theme is inspired by our five Lasallian Core Principles and the recent publication from the Brothers of the Christian Schools, entitled (2023). This document, written by a diverse group of Lasallian educators from around the world, thoughtfully captures the foundations of Lasallian Spirituality rooted in our Catholic heritage and also authentically encompassing diverse cultural, religious, and human experiences. All of us are invited to consider how our roles at Saint Mary’s can be informed by, and indeed contribute to informing, a Lasallian Spirituality which calls us to live integrated lives of faith and zeal, together as one community dedicated to transforming lives through education.
Lasallian Heritage Days honors Saint John Baptist de La Salle, founder of the Brothers of the Christian Schools (often called “De La Salle Christian Brothers”), and celebrates the work of the many Brothers and Partners in the mission who respond to signs of the times to meet educational needs in 80 countries around the world. We are all part of this 300+ year mission. More information on the De La Salle Christian Brothers and other Lasallian universities worldwide can be found on these sites:
