FOURTH-YEAR, SOCIOLOGY

I am currently in my 4th year here at Saint Mary’s College hoping to graduate in May. I am currently working towards my bachelor's degree in Biology as well as minoring in Chemistry. I was born and raised in Denver, Colorado before coming out to school here in the Bay Area. I grew up in a family of 6 and I am the second oldest of my siblings (two brothers and one sister). When I am not doing school work I love to read and have recently gotten back into photography. I have also most recently donated my time to High Potential and have done a couple of headshot photos for some of the students in the program. I am also one of the two lead peer mentors that we have on our peer mentor team. This position has allowed me to start a new role in my life of being a student leader.

FOURTH-YEAR, PERFORMANCE THEATER & TECHNICAL DESIGN

I am a senior at St. Mary's. My family currently lives in Oakley, Ca, but we've moved around the Bay Area multiple times. I am a performance theater and technical design double major with a minor in cinematic arts. I have a deep passion for the dramatic arts as it is one of the most important mediums to teach others empathy and empower marginalized voices to build confidence in their identities. It creates a platform to amplify our stories to be shared with larger audiences. The High Potential Program has allowed me to broaden my approach to how I can help voices be heard. I love seeing the direct impact the program and my fellow peer mentors leave on the student body and I can't wait to take these lessons into my future career.
