Alcohol and Other Drugs (AOD)
Alcohol and other drug use are significant public health problems and they impact the well-being of students on campuses across the United States. At St. Mary's College of California, we strive to offer education, awareness and recovery support referrals for alcohol and/or drug concerns. A student's health, wellness and safety are paramount to a successful collegiate experience.
According to the , about four out of five college students across the United States drink alcohol. ÐÇ¿Õ´«Ã½ half of those students consume alcohol through binge drinking.
SMC's alcohol and drug policy can be found .
Alcohol and other drug information and referral resources are important to share with the SMC Community. We encourage those seeking help for alcohol and/or drug use or those supporting a loved one to review these resources below and reach out to SMC's Counseling and Psychological Services for individualized referral information. SMC's Office of Community Life is here to support students who may need additional non-clinical case management support. Additionally, SMC students can find after-hours support through TimelyCare.
