SMC Zoom Policies - aging videos, permissions, etc.

Faculty and staff Zoom Pro accounts allow users to host group meetings for large audiences and record meetings in the Zoom Cloud for future playback. Zoom cloud recordings will be purged after 30 days.
Student Zoom Pro accounts, similar to faculty and staff accounts, allow students to host group meetings for large audiences. However, if students want to record their meetings, student accounts are required to record meetings to their local machine (laptop, computer or hard drive)

Zoom Meetings allow up to 200 participants to share their audio, video, chat, and screens.
Anyone in the world can join a Zoom meeting, but only a host can start and schedule meetings.
Zoom works on PC, Mac, Android and iOS devices.
Zoom integrates with Canvas.
Zoom recordings can be stored in the cloud.
- Faculty and staff are able to record to the Zoom cloud
- All Zoom cloud recordings will be automatically deleted after 30 days
- Users are responsible for downloading important recordings to personal storage devices
Students using Saint Mary’s Zoom accounts will be required to save recordings on their personal device
If a recording contains sensitive information or is subject to legal or regulatory requirements, the meeting host is responsible for ensuring that it is stored and disposed of in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
Saint Mary's College reserves the right to delete any recording at any time if it violates our policies or is otherwise inappropriate.

An internet connection – broadband wired or wireless (3G or 4G/LTE)
Speakers and a microphone – built-in or USB plug-in or wireless Bluetooth (your laptop or tablet probably has these)
A webcam or HD webcam - built-in or USB plug-in (your laptop or tablet probably has this) Or, a HD cam or HD camcorder with video capture card
