Women’s Lacrosse Continues Push to Playoff Berth with an Overtime Win Against San Jose State
With this win, the Gaels have surged to their best start in the past three seasons, boasting a solid 3–3 record. Their sights are now set on securing one of the final playoff spots, with just two games remaining in the season.
What a thrilling start to Club Sports Days on campus! On March 9, the Women’s Lacrosse team went head-to-head with conference rival San Jose State University in a nail-biting match. In the final minutes of regulation play, with the Spartans holding a slim two goal lead, the Gaels rallied back, scoring the tying goal as the clock wound down. The excitement only intensified in overtime when the Gaels seized an opportunity, causing a turnover and swiftly capitalizing on it. Gabi Laguero ’27 delivered the winning shot, sealing a memorable victory for the team.
