Catch the ‘Activate’ Dance Concert May 9–11

Come see a variety of thrilling dances at ACTIVATE, Saint Mary's College Dance Company's concert in LeFevre Theatre this weekend. Performances take place at 8 p.m. on Thursday, May 9 and Friday, May 10. On Saturday, May 11, there are performances at 2 p.m. (also livestreamed) and 8 p.m.
The dances are all choreographed by Saint Mary's esteemed Dance faculty and guest artists. Along with modern/contemporary dance, tap, jazz, West African, and Baile Folklorico, this year the performance introduces a Dance Hall piece by Riyadah Mutakabbir, who will be teaching Hip Hop at SMC in the Fall. You'll be amazed at the precision, athleticism, beauty, and creativity of all of these pieces.
The program will finish with a piece to honor graduating seniors.
