Grants

Students pursuing a teaching credential only are eligible for federal and state grants.

TEACH Grant (FEDERAL)

The Teacher Education Assistance for College and Higher Education (TEACH) grant program awards up to $4,000, intended to benefit current and prospective graduate students who intend to teach in a middle or high school that serves students from low-income families and in a high need subject area, e.g. mathematics, science, foreign language, or special education.

Golden State Teachers Grant (STATE)

The Golden State Teacher Grant Program (GSTG) awards up to $20,000 for graduate students who are currently enrolled in an approved teacher preparation program. Students commit to teach or counsel in a 'high-need' field at a 'priority school' in California for four years and have eight years, upon completion of the recipient’s preparation program, to meet that obligation.
