Professional Overview

Camilo Pérez-Bustillo is a human rights scholar of Colombian origin who is co-founder of Witness at the Border, a fellow of the Global Research Programme on Inequality (GRIP, based at the University of Bergen in Norway) and was previously a fellow at Stanford University's Center for Advanced Study in the Behavioral Sciences (CASBS). His most recent books include his translation of The Theological Metaphors of Marx by Enrique Dussel (Duke University Press, 2024) and Human Rights, Hegemony, and Utopia in Latin America: Poverty, Forced Migration and Resistance in Mexico and Colombia (Brill 2016/Haymarket 2017), and he is a contributing writer at Truthout and Just Security.
