The MFA in Dance proudly presents Woven Roots, the 2025 thesis performances: eight women echoing stories of healing, identity, multiculturalism, endurance, and community. Genres range from classical to contemporary to street dance. Each show will conclude with a Q&A from two featured Artists. The MFA students immersed themselves in thorough research of embodiment, pedagogy, somatics, and choreography, all of which informed their creative practice, culminating in works through dance films and site-specific and in-theater performances.
The Friday, June 6th Show features work by Veronica Silk, Bobi Lott, Jess McNely and Gwen Benitez. The post-show talk will feature Bobi and Jess.
