Join the Museum of Art for an afternoon screening of the powerful documentary 100 Years from Mississippi. The screening will be followed by a Question & Answer with the film’s director and producer, Tarabu Betserai Kirkland.

In , Tarabu Betserai Kirkland amplifies the story of his late mother, Mamie Lang Kirkland, who fled Mississippi as a child in 1908 to escape lynchings (vowing never to return) and returns to confront the painful part of her history as a 108-year-old woman. 

The Q&A is followed by a 5 p.m. Dining and discussion with the director at Mission & Ministry.
