Leadership Scholarships
This scholarship is designed to support EdD students who are also single custodial parents of dependent children. Applicants may apply for this scholarship annually while they are actively enrolled in the first 3 years of the program.
- Who may apply: EdD students who are also single custodial parents of dependent children and actively enrolled in the first three years of the program.
- Additional criteria: An EdD learner with good academic standing and an academic track record showing the ability and motivation to succeed.
- How to apply: Information is sent to current students in the Fall term.
This scholarship is designed to support EdD students who have substantial experience with and are currently working in non-profit environments dedicated to social justice. This experience may include volunteer work, but must include a leadership or supervisory role. Applicants may apply for this scholarship annually while they are actively enrolled in the first 3 years of the program.
- Who may apply: EdD students who are currently working in non-profit environments and have a leadership or supervisory role. K–12 teachers and administrators are not eligible for this scholarship.
- Additional criteria: An EdD learner with good academic standing and an academic track record showing the ability and motivation to succeed.
- How to apply: Information is sent to current students in the Fall term.
The Larry L. Seeger Endowed Scholarship Fund was established in 2000. The award is primarily intended for an adult student(s) in the BA in Leadership and Organizational Studies program who demonstrates the following:
- Financial aid need
- Completion of the first two major core courses LDSH 100 and 101 (or equivalent)
- Good academic standing with an academic track record showing the ability and motivation to succeed

The Caryl Perry Memorial Endowed Scholarship recipients are selected based of the following qualifications:
- A student in financial need who otherwise would not meet their goal of receiving a degree from the School of Education
- A student in the MA in Leadership program with professional or experiential interest in the field of health care

American Association of School Administrators created these scholarships to support outstanding graduate students in school administration who intend to go into the superintendency.
The Spencer Foundation provides fellowships to doctoral students who are in dissertation in the field of education. Applicants do not need to be U.S. citizens.
The American Educational Research Association offers this program for members of racial and ethnic groups historically underrepresented in higher education who are in dissertation. Applicants must be U.S. citizens or U.S. permanent residents.
American Association of University Women offers support to outstanding women committed to improving their schools and communities through their research studies. Through a grant competition, funds are awarded to institutions of higher education to prepare eligible participants for doctoral studies through involvement in research and other scholarly activities.
The Lasallian Mission & Ministry (LMM) Scholars are part of the two-year Lasallian Educator Fellows Program. The LMM Scholars are graduate students enrolled at Saint Mary’s College, live on campus, and are also part-time staff members in the Mission and Ministry Center. They work with other MMC staff members to plan and implement MMC events and programs, and are an integral part of the team which consists of 4-5 staff members and 15+ student leaders.
The LMM Scholars are graduate students enrolled in the MA Leadership Program at Saint Mary’s College.
Benefit Highlights:
- 50% tuition reduction
- Free room and board (housing on campus and a meal plan) for the duration of their Leadership program/work in the MMC (The limit on room and board is two years, even if the student’s enrollment goes beyond two years for any reason)
- Hourly paid position in the MMC (10-15 hours per week) for the academic year (summer work possible but not guaranteed)
- Ongoing mentorship and professional development opportunities with MMC staff
